“This is good but i can make it better.” -Mago Gonzalez

Our Story

Around 2016 , during a visit with her sister in her home town of Jalisco , our mother was introduced to Salsa Macha—an oil-rich, spicy condiment rooted in the traditions of Veracruz.

She enjoyed it… but knew it could become something more.

With a simple thought—“This is good, I can make it better”—she began refining the recipe once she returned home, balancing flavor, texture, and depth over time, one batch at a time.

Years passed, and many jars later..

Magos son was meeting his soon to be wife in Texas for a date week bringing all the groceries for them and one special jar of this “Salsa Macha” made by his mom.

Hungry from a day of flying while he was at work , his fiancé , broke out this nutty looking savory treat and with few pita chips full her taste buds were instantly awakened.

one bite after the other , and half the jar later , He returned from work , looked at her and said darling “ where did all the salsa macha go ?” “its not cereal “ with a smirk and guilty grin she replied “its just so good, we are going to need more.

It became something she craved, and raved about.

Months later when he visited in NY , they made a batch together, this time using all organic ingredients.

Friends and family tasted it. Tables passed it around.
And the question came again and again—

“When are you going to sell this?”

The answer is today.

What began in a family kitchen slowly became something more.

We share it as Mago Macha—a recipe rooted in tradition, refined with love, and meant to be experienced together.

Now 100% organic and ready for those who crave a little something more.
